Dr. Glenn Dean is a long-time Gainesville resident, graduating from Gainesville High School in 1982. He attended the University of Florida, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering with High Honors in 1986 and an electrical engineering Master of Science degree in 1990. Dr. Dean then attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with High Honors in 1996. During his dental education Dr. Dean was recognized with several student awards, including those from the American Association of Endodontists, the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, the American Academy of Oral Medicine, and the Presidential Recognition Award from the University of Florida. In addition, Dr. Dean was elected to membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a dental honor society, and he was also given an award from the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity for attaining the highest academic standing during his years of study at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Dr. Dean has practiced the specialty of endodontics with Endodontic Associates since his completion of the Advanced Education Program in Endodontics from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1998.
Dr. Dean is a member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the Florida Association of Endodontics and the Alachua County Dental Association of which he served on the Executive Board and is a past President. Dr. Dean serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry’s Department of Endodontics.
