Dr. Maurício L. Basso D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Basso was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the renowned University of São Paulo School of Dentistry in 2003. In 2006, he completed his specialization in Endodontics at the same university. Afterward, Dr. Basso served in the Brazilian Army for six years before coming to the U.S. to advance his studies in Endodontics. He first completed an internship in Endodontics at the University of Florida, then was accepted into the graduate specialty program at the University of Michigan, where he earned both a certificate and a master’s degree in Endodontics.

After practicing in a private office in Michigan, Dr. Basso joined the Accelerated Dental Program at the University of Detroit Mercy to earn his U.S. Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Before joining Endodontic Associates, Dr. Basso practiced for a year in The Villages area, then became a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor in the University of Florida’s Endodontic Department, where he treated patients in the faculty practice and taught both DMD and graduate-level students.

Dr. Basso is currently board-eligible and working toward Diplomate status with the American Board of Endodontics. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing soccer, and cheering for Michigan Wolverines sports.
