
Dr. Samuel Markham, a Florida native, was born in Lake City, Florida. He graduated from Columbia High School as valedictorian in 1989. He attended the University of Florida and completed a Bachelor of Science in Finance in 1994. Dr. Markham then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, with honors, in 1998 from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. During his dental education Dr. Markham received The Florida Health Scholarship and the American Society of Dentistry for Children Certificate of Merit. He was also inducted into Psi Omega Dental Fraternity, and Omicorn Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. He received the Omicron Kappa Upsilon award for ethics. Upon graduation Dr. Markham completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Miami Veteran’s Hospital. He then practiced general dentistry for six years in the Miami and Alachua County areas. In addition, he served as a part-time clinical assistant professor in the Operative Dentistry Department for three years. In 2008, Dr. Markham completed a 3-year combined Facial Pain and Endodontic advanced education program at the University of Florida. During his training he presented a table clinic in Vancouver at the American Association of Endodontists. Since completion of his specialty training in 2008 he has practiced endodontics at Endodontic Associates of Gainesville.
Dr. Markham is a member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, Florida Association of Endodontists, and the Alachua County Dental Society. He also serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry’s Department of Endodontics.
