Dr. Kathy Z. Tyler D.M.D.

Dr. Kathy Tyler has been a proud member of the Gainesville community since 1967. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida in 1983, followed by a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the UF College of Dentistry in 1989. During dental school, she worked as a microbiologist at the Periodontal Disease Research Center and was recognized with multiple student research awards, including the Quintessence Student Achievement Award, the UF Presidential Recognition Award, and first place in an American Association for Dental Research competition—achievements that led to several research publications.

In 1992, Dr. Tyler completed her postgraduate Endodontics Certificate at the University of Louisville College of Dentistry. The following year, she founded Endodontic Associates of Gainesville, Florida. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, Florida Association of Endodontists, and the Alachua County Dental Association, where she has served on both the Executive and Peer Review Boards.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Tyler enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, and traveling with family and friends—especially to wine regions around the world.
